Solution

                                                        Decision Making Process

Decision-making involves choosing the best from the alternatives available. According to Griffin et al. (2016), the process also entails evaluating several alternatives available while selecting the best alternative based on the discussed and evaluated pros and cons of each of them. Therefore, since decision problems necessitate a selection from various alternatives, several possibilities are chosen before making the final selection. In some cases, a decision may not be reached even if the material requiring the decision may be available (Griffin et al., 2016). A decision requires a prediction of the future based on the present and past available information. The effect of the decision is a decision should be felt in the future, and when its prediction does not come true, then it may be wrong (Suarez et al., 2017).

According to Griffin et al. (2016), decisions can be categorized on the basis of frequency and information conditions where the frequency of recurrence determines whether they are programmed or nonprogrammed. Therefore, programmed decisions are those that are repetitive in nature. Thus according to Bolland and Lopes (2018), this type of decision can be addressed by following a particular standard procedure and often taken by lower management. On the other hand, nonprogrammed decisions arise those that are from unstructured problems or problems that have not been encountered before…………for help with this assignment contact us via email Address: consulttutor10@gmail.com
