Leaders and Managers
Managers and leaders are important in delivering good services in an organization, but even though the two may have similar aspects, they share different roles, skills, outlook, and behavior. Often, good managers will need leadership skills, while effective leaders will need managerial skills. However, the two are different in various aspects. At first, managers exercise the direction of an organization or a group through administrative supervisory and executive roles (Bridges, 2018). Moreover, managers’ responsibilities are usually tasked-oriented and entail maintaining discipline and ethics while resolving conflicts and mentoring and developing staff and persons with high potential. A good manager aims at providing services in a sustainable and efficient manner. Moreover, managers organize, plan, budget, monitor, and coordinate activities in an organization or a group. Managers are responsible for using resources efficiently to achieve definite set objectives. With management entailing the process of meeting organizational goals, managers focus on directing their subordinates and controlling the structures, systems, and resources formally. According to Bridges (2018), managers also focus on avoiding potential risks, working on short-term goals, and establishing standardization to promote efficiency in a group or organization …………for help with this assignment contact us via Email Address: email@example.com
