Summarize the historical evidence for the resurrection and highlight the key features of how a Christian defense can be made concerning the life, death, and postmortem appearances of Jesus of Nazareth. Key objections to the resurrection may also be noted. This essay is to be written in 3rd person voice and should be formatted in accordance with author/date Undergraduate Manual of Style formatting. There are many historical facts supporting the historicity of Jesus’ resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. However, Jesus’ burial, the discoveries of his empty tomb, and his post-mortem appearances are among the most widely accepted historical facts of Jesus’ resurrection widely accepted by historians today. This paper will share these facts as well as the key objections to the resurrection of Jesus.
One historical fact is Jesus’ burial, an event leading to his resurrection. When he died on the cross, he was buried by Joseph Arimathea in a tomb, and this account has been presented by Luke, Mathew, John, and Mark in the new testament as well as several letters by Apostle Paul.
