There are numerous emerging Disruptive Media Technologies and Cultural Trends (DMTCs), but this paper covers the increasing online church attendance and its influence on churches, particularly how they can use it as a way to combat the declining Christian population and reach audiences who would unable to engage with the Church physically. Online church attendance has increased over the decades, and the COVID pandemic accelerated the increase even further (Bryson et al., 2020). Moving forward, people are engaging from or other places during services, and church leaders will have to view them as equally important as those who attend in the facility (Sabaté et al., 2021). Thus, the physical church attendance continues to decline, the majority of Christians attending services will no longer be in the room. With numerous technological advancements, many things have shifted online, including school, fitness, and shopping. Similarly, people are embracing viewing online gatherings as normal, and in the future, the Church will have to embrace it too. According to Singarimbun (2021)People continue to realize that they do not have to be in a church building to emerge with the Church and choose to engage online.
