Solution
Drug Administration and Excretion
For a drug to be administered into the bloodstream, individuals use several different methods to use or abuse a given substance. Commonly, drugs can be swallowed. Injected snorted or smoked (Levinthal, 2015). At first, swallowing entails taking drugs orally, whether in food, pill or drink. The drugs are absorbed into the bloodstream through the stomach and the intestines’ lining in this method. The liver becomes often involved, especially in metabolizing the drug. This method is easy to administer drugs into the body, but its effects can be slow. As a result, an impatient individual can take too many drugs when they initially don’t experience the effects, thus leading to an overdose (Lo et al., 2020). Swallowing is another method of administering drugs where the drug passes into the bloodstream through the internal lining of the lungs then delivered to organ systems (Patel et al., 2012). Besides being familiar to many people, smoking is a faster way of using or abusing substances than swallowing because it releases drugs to the bloodstream faster through the breathing system. However, smoking can be detected easily and can cause short-term or long-term damages to the lungs …………for help with this assignment contact us viaemail Address: consulttutor10@gmail.com
