According to Ingram (2019), as soon as a person enters or breaks in without the owners’ permission, then the crime of burglary is considered complete even if the intended felony or theft fails to happen. However, the prosecutors must have enough proof that the defendant entered a building intending to commit theft or a felony in order to convict a person of burglary.
